Our Mission at Ukraine Moldova Aid

At Ukraine Moldova Aid, Inc, our mission is to provide humanitarian aid and support to those affected by conflict, including Ukrainian refugees in Moldova, as well as children, elderly individuals, disabled individuals, and low-income families in Moldova.

Through partnerships with local NGOs and volunteers, we work tirelessly to address the urgent needs of vulnerable populations. Our comprehensive approach encompasses the provision of essential resources such as food, shelter, and medical supplies.

In addition to our humanitarian efforts, we are thrilled to announce the establishment of a new soccer club in Sireti, Moldova, initiated and spearheaded by Vladimir Rebeja. This exciting endeavor provides a platform for youth in the community to engage in the joy of soccer, fostering physical well-being, teamwork, and personal growth. By integrating sports and recreation into our holistic approach, we aspire to empower and inspire the young generation of Sireti, Moldova.

Our goal is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by conflict and to build a brighter future for the communities we serve. Together, through compassion, collaboration, and resilience, we can bring hope, support, and positive change to those who need it most.

Moldova's Response to the Refugee Crisis

Millions of Ukrainians fled their homes due to fighting and nearly half a million refugees sought refuge in Moldova - a small country with a population of about 2.2 million, bordered by Ukraine on the east and Romania on the west. The country was previously occupied by the Soviet regime and has dealt with a breakaway enclave backed by Russian forces since the 1990s. The border area of Palanka in southern Moldova has become a crossing point for thousands of Ukrainian refugees, who have left behind their entire lives and hope for a future without war. Within a few weeks of Russia's invasion, most of the refugees had moved on, but more than 90,000 remained and required urgent support including food, shelter, clothing, and other necessities. Moldova is facing an unprecedented refugee crisis, with refugees staying in government centers, makeshift centers registered with the government, and in Moldovan homes. The Moldovan government has responded heroically with its limited resources and without past experience dealing with a humanitarian crisis of this size. The Moldovan people have opened their homes to host refugee families and donated supplies to help those who had to leave their homes on a moment's notice. Many local NGOs have also responded to the crisis by understanding the needs of their communities and providing support. We at Ukraine Moldova Aid partnered with local NGOs and volunteers in Moldova to provide immediate support to refugees. We paid for gas to pick up refugees from the border, paid utilities for families who hosted the refugees in their homes, distributed groceries, hygiene supplies, and paid for medications, and provided necessary first aid. We also buy all supplies in Moldova to help stimulate the local economy.

Youth Soccer Club in Sireti, Moldova

Vladimir Rebeja embarked on a remarkable journey to establish a sensational soccer club for the youth in the charming village of Sireti, Moldova! With over 130 eager children, aged 6 to 10, already signed up, Vladimir has selflessly funded the entire project, ensuring that each child has the necessary equipment, stylish jerseys, and covering transportation costs. But Vladimir's dedication doesn't end there. He has passionately transformed the club's building, upgrading its safety standards. From a complete remodeling, including roof replacement and upgrades to plumbing and electrical systems, to installing a sturdy fence and a lush green field, he has left no stone unturned. Now, we need your help to take it one step further. Our goal is to raise $220,000 to lay artificial turf, enabling the children to play soccer year-round. This incredible club is powered by a team of passionate volunteers who are committed to supporting the activities and growth of these exceptional kids. Join us in making a difference by contributing to our charity. Together, we can provide a safe and vibrant space where children can pursue their soccer dreams in Sireti, Moldova. Thank you for your generosity and belief in the power of sports to transform lives.
